The Information below is intended to give an understanding of the business of Dailybread group of companies, who currently have all their activities in Indonesia led by its Bakery and Cafe business and supported by its frozen dough/pastry production facility. The business have been well-prepared to enter the international market as all the business process in the two main ventures have been equipped with international standard procedures. The business is being carried out using the Dailybread as its brandname. The brand is registered under the Indonesian Law and is in the process of having it registered to the US regulators.
The Bakery and Cafe business is the main revenue generator of the Dailybread group of companies. There are currently 40 stores located within prime business and commercial districts in Jakarta with majority of stores are on long-term rental scheme. The stores have been set up with a standardized tool-kit so that it has been able to maintain low-cost of investment. The existence of the frozen dough and pastry production facility heavily supports the development of the Bakery and Cafe stores due to its ability to provide cost-effective premium products.
The management is controlled and led by highly experience businessman, Eddy Sutanto, who founded the business in 1996. During the course of the years, Mr. Sutanto, have equipped his team with some of the leading practitioners in the retail business as well as property analysts. Furthermore, the management have also divided into several independent business/profit centers to be more responsive to every development in the market which could spur quicker growth. This business format, however, will always rely on a lean organisation.
Company Overview Dailybread Food International (“DFI” or “Company”) is a Seycheles-based holding company which has stakes in PT. Dailybread Indonesia (PTDI), Dailybread USA and Dailybread Asia. DFI was established by Eddy Sutanto in 2007. PTDI is currently the only entity with operating companies. It wholly owns PT Adirasa Selaras Abadi (“ASA”), a frozen dough/pastry processing facility which produces frozen dough for cakes and pastries sold to The Dailybread Bakery and Cafe (“Bakery & Cafe”) stores as well as other third parties;
While ASA’s facility commenced operation in 2006, the Bakery and Cafe business were established in 1997 and it currently runs 40 stores which are located within the prime business and commercial districts in Jakarta, Bandung and Bali. Most of its stores are on long-term rental scheme.
The Dailybread Bakery and Cafe stores are operated by PT Dailybread Food Indonesia (DFIn) while DFIn is 100% owned by ASA. And, although the Bakery & Cafe sells other bakery products, it specializes in French Pastries as its core product. Dailybread is a registered trademark in Indonesia and will be DFI’s trademark for the international market; The Dailybread Food group of companies are led and controlled by Mr. Sutanto.
PT Adirasa Selaras Abadi This processing facility is located in Sentul Industrial Estate, 70-kilometres (43 miles) South East of Jakarta. The total area of this facility is approximately 2,200 m2 (23,600 sqft) and it sits on a land with total area of around 3,300 (35,400 sqft) m2. The facility is equipped with state of the art automatic line machine, micro lab as well as product development facility to maintain consistency of its final products.
The machine is able to operate in 3 shifts for 24 hours/day and it is able to produce 12,000 pieces of various product / hour. Running capacity is at 35% of 1 shift only.
This production facility is led by a production manager with a 10 years experience. The plant is also Halal certified by the local Islamic Authority and ISO: 22000-2005 certified by SGS in Food Safety Management standard and strictly practice good manufacturing practices in food safety and hygiene.
PT.Dailybread Food Indonesia It currently operates 40 stores throughout the prime business districts within Jakarta, Bandung and Bali. The management plan to increase the number of stores to 85 stores in 2009. In addition of being in the retail business, the Bakery and Cafe stores are also serving institutional customers including the biggest catering providers in Indonesia, chain of convenient stores, supermarket and food retailers.
The Bakery and Cafe is implementing a concept of offering Bakery products as a family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and coffee break, with menu that is healthy and able to attract people from various ages. Stores set-up is considered low-cost investment with standardized tool-kit and decorations using raw materials available in Indonesia and strictly complying with environmentally friendly regulations
